The History of Geschenke Kaiser
The Store still exists to this day, surviving 2 Wars, 3 currency reforms and Munich's growth into a cosmopolitan city and tourist destination.
In 2003 the shop was aquired by the family Handtke, until then suppliers of the finest pewter ware to the former owners. The shop is still called Geschenke Kaiser as it was almost 140 years ago, but today is a modern, familiy-owned business, always aware of its responsibility towards its heritage and customers.
We believe it to be our mission to support this old, sometimes still familiy owned businesses and help preserve these special products.
