The History of Geschenke Kaiser

In 1874 Antonie Kaiser opened her shop for presents, silverware and devotional objects across from St. Peter right in the heart of Munich.
The Store still exists to this day, surviving 2 Wars, 3 currency reforms and Munich's growth into a cosmopolitan city and tourist destination.
In 2003 the shop was aquired by the family Handtke, until then suppliers of the finest pewter ware to the former owners. The shop is still called Geschenke Kaiser as it was almost 140 years ago, but today is a modern, familiy-owned business, always aware of its responsibility towards its heritage and customers.

As a specialized shop we always strive to offer you only first class articles. Every one of our articles is made by traditional handicraft businesses in Europe, with a significant number being pure handwork.
We believe it to be our mission to support this old, sometimes still familiy owned businesses and help preserve these special products.
